Kevin Rush is a masterful and imaginative guitarist and native Chicagoan living in the south suburbs of Crestwood. Kevin began playing guitar at the age of 13. Influenced originally by rock and roll guitar greats, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix at an early age, he quickly became aware of other styles: classical with Andres Segovia, blues via the 3 Kings, and ultimately jazz with Django Reinhardt and Les Paul. A lifelong musician, Kevin played in various bands throughout High School and College and studied Classical Guitar and Music Theory at Roosevelt University in Chicago. He is the lead guitarist on The Stray Toasters' 4th and 5th records: Let Go My Ego, and 5 Things; as well as LePercolateur’s debut record, Pop Manouche. Kevin is also a dedicated guitar instructor at the renowned Friendly Music Community in Berwyn, where he shares his extensive knowledge and expertise with aspiring guitarists.
Anthony D’Agostino is an accomplished and innovative bassist and experienced educator who can be found performing in a wide variety of settings throughout the Chicago area and beyond. Originally from Wisconsin, he trained in jazz and classical bass both at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and DePaul University, studying with bassists John Babbitt, Rob Kassinger, and Dennis Carroll. Currently he enjoys a varied performance schedule playing in venues across the city and surrounding suburbs with a number of different groups. Anthony's energetic stage presence and deep musicality captivate audiences wherever he goes. Anthony also maintains a private teaching studio of students on the double bass, electric bass, guitar, and piano, teaching both virtually and in person.
Andres Bautista is a Chicago-born drummer whose rhythmic prowess has made him a staple in the city's vibrant music scene. With a deep-rooted passion for jazz, Andy has spent years perfecting his craft, performing with numerous bands and ensembles across the midwest. His dynamic drumming style blends traditional jazz techniques with innovative rhythms, captivating audiences at every performance. In addition to his musical career, Andy is the proud owner of Century Mallet Instrument Service (with roots in what was once the famous J.C. Deagan Company), where he crafts, repairs, and sells high-quality instruments to fellow percussion enthusiasts. His dual roles as a musician and entrepreneur allow him to stay deeply connected to his art, fostering a community of musicians who share his love for rhythm. Whether behind the drum kit or in his workshop, Andres Bautista's dedication to music shines through, making him a beloved figure in the Chicago music community.
Amy Bishop is a charismatic singer with a versatile voice, performing with several Chicago-area bands, including Ten Cat Swing, Altered Suburbia, The Vintage Swing Band (and formerly Afternoon Logic). Amy's love of music took root at a very young age, drawing inspiration from her parents, who consistently nurtured a rich musical environment. With a minor in vocal music from the University of Illinois paired with practical experience from musical opportunities throughout her life, Amy has learned to seamlessly blend vintage charm with contemporary flair. For 30+ years, Amy has worked as a teacher in the Chicago suburbs, bringing the same dedication and enthusiasm to her students as she does to her music. Her favorite quote, “The only thing better than singing is more singing,” by Ella Fitzgerald, reflects her passion and dedication to her craft.
